Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria and San Antonio Spurs point guard Tony Parker have split up, a source close to the couple tells People magazine.
“They did break up. It’s amicable,” the source says, adding, “They are talking and trying to figure the best course of action for their future. They are trying to work things out. It’s distance and demanding careers and not living in same city.” The source goes on to say that “It didn’t happen yesterday. It’s been going on for a while.” In an earlier statement issued by Longoria’s rep Liza Anderson on Friday, said, “Eva and Tony are going through a very difficult time right now, just like any other couple with extremely demanding careers.” However, a source close to Parker told People earlier on Friday that Parker said rumours of a break-up were not true.

While Desperate Housewives has been filming in Los Angeles, the San Antonio Spurs departed Texas on Friday afternoon to begin a training camp in France.
Before leaving, Parker joined his team at a “media day” for sportswriters near the San Antonio International Airport, though he did not discuss his relationship with Longoria.
Longoria, 31, and Parker, 24, met in November 2004 and, though they played coy at first, by August 2005, Longoria had confirmed they were a couple.

London: Actress Kate Winslet was hurt after filming a sex scene in a sink for the movie Little Children. According to contactmusic.com, Winslet had to act with actor Patrick Wilson in the movie. The scene was shot in a laundry room and was far from sexy. She says: “We both had little coverings on areas we didn't want people to see.
“We rehearsed the scene fully clothed, without anyone in the room — just us and (director) Todd (Field). We did look out for each other and we laughed a hell of a lot. It sounds ridiculous but at a certain point you forget that you're naked with a relative stranger. “It's really weird. My hips and backside really hurt the next day. They put some pad across the front of the seat and I was sitting on something slightly cushioned. It's all so ridiculous this crazy job we do for a living.”

The singer plays murderous Roxie Hart in the show and reveals she has lots in common with the ambitious villainess. She says, “The play is absolutely all about celebrity and wanting to be famous and having your name in the papers and your picture in the papers. “In that sense, it's been kind of cool because I've really got to connect to that, because I've seen that world and been in that world.”

When Kate Bosworth turned up at New York City’s Fashion Week recently, the star’s startling slim appearance concerned friends and onlookers.

But since Bosworth hasn’t filmed anything in more than a year now, some are hoping she will take a closer look at herself. “Every time I saw her,” says the source, “I kept thinking, ‘Please eat something’.”

Especially on screen because what if you have a bad night’s sleep? David Gardner's upcoming book The Tom Hanks Enigma alleges that the actor attempted to kill his ex-wife
New York: Two-time Oscar winner Tom Hanks has been revealed to have harassed and attempted to kill his ex-wife Susan Dillingham.
According to pagesix.com, the revelations came about when court papers were found and published in David Gardner's upcoming book The Tom Hanks Enigma. Dillingham had written to a LA court asking for a restraining order against Hanks and said: “My husband has repeatedly verbally abused and humiliated me during the past 90 days in my home. This caused me to suffer great emotional distress.”
Dillingham’s stage name was Samantha Lewes and she died from bone cancer in 2002. The prolonged and agonising divorce began in 1985 and went on for three years and Lewes starred in a series of plays in that time.
In one legal missive she wrote: “It's designed to harass and upset me at a time when I should be focusing all of my energies on my job.”
During the time she took on these roles Hanks tried to force her into depositions.
Gardner writes: “Tom was spending less and less time at home — and with two children to care for and a husband who was away for long stretches — it was difficult for her to get work.”
Hanks is now married to actress Rita Wilson.

Hollywood, CA (AHN) - Feisty 'Desperate Housewife' Eva Longoria, who plays pampered Gabrielle Solis on the hit ABC television show, says she plans on leaving television for the big screen once the show's run is over.

Speaking to the Associated Press, Longoria says: "I would never leave 'Desperate Housewives'. I love doing both (TV and film), but I would never do another TV show after 'Desperate Housewives'. No."

Longoria's next film, 'How I Met My Boyfriend's Dead Fiance', is due for release next year. She is currently filming the movie while shooting for episodes of the upcoming season of Housewives.

She has recently appeared on cinema screens in 'The Sentinel' alongside actor Michael Douglas and 'Harsh Times'.
