Norah’s funeral plans ready

Washington: She’s in the bloom of life, but that has not stopped singer Norah Jones from already working out her burial plans.

The Jazz star revealed that she doesn’t want to be buried, and that she would prefer to be cremated, with her ashes being scattered around Big Bend National Park in her native Texas.

“I don’t want a tombstone — I want to be cremated,” Contactmusic quoted her, as saying.

As for why she wants to be cremated, well Jones revealed to Blender magazine that she found that prospect of decaying slowly very “creepy”.

“I’ve always thought the whole embalming-and-burial thing was creepy. I don’t want to be decaying there in my clothes,” she added.

However, Jones is hoping that she won’t have to put her plan for her last rites into work for a long time yet.

Dame Helen Mirren has confessed she wasn’t wearing any underwear when she collected her Best Actress Oscar on Sunday night.

London: Actor Hugh Grant was stunned when a fan handcuffed herself to him at the Dutch premiere of his new movie Music And Lyrics.

Cielke Sijben, a journalist working for Dutch TV network 101 TV, leaped forward as Grant walked the red carpet at the Amsterdam Pathe and clamped a metal handcuff on his wrist, attaching herself to him.

Dr. Kapoor: Methadone OK for Pregnant Anna

A lawyer for the doctor who prescribed drugs to Anna Nicole Smith in the late stages of her pregnancy says giving methadone to Smith was "medically sound and appropriate." The lawyer for Dr. Sandeep Kapoor responded to allegations of medical misconduct today in a statement to TMZ, saying, in part, "Medical research and protocols confirm that methadone is approved for use by pregnant patients." According to the US Department of Health and Human Services, methadone treatment for pregnant women can "save [a] baby's life" and can "allow [one] to regain...quality of life." The government also says that using methadone while pregnant "will not cause birth defects for [a] baby." "That's just where she was in her life. She had so much on her plate with the children she had precious little time to worry about how she looked.

"It was around that time her aunt died and that totally devastated her. It was yet another blow.

"It was me she turned to for comfort and me who travelled to Louisiana for the funeral.

"I rarely saw Britney with any friends and during our time together I never saw her with Paris, it was like that was a part of her life she wanted to forget."

Chance

But it soon became clear that Isaac could not cope with the demands of Britney's troubled and hectic life.

And so last week, in an emotional phone call, the couple put an end to their six-week romance.

"I adore Britney and in a different place at a different time we might have stood a chance," said Isaac. "It was far too soon for her to get involved in a relationship with anyone.

"But she has coped with so much in her life I hope she does not give up now. She is too special for that."
